Microsoft’s “Bible For Software Developers” - the MSDN Magazine is set to fade into distant memory shortly with the last issue coming out in November 2019. This decision has now led to heartbreak amongst both the developer as well as the editorial contributor community.
This decision to end the MSDN magazine comes after 33 years since the editorial first came to prominence. Lots of Microsoft software developers have benefited from the MSDN Magazine’s content. As soon as this “sunsetting” move was announced by the magazine’s editor-in-chief Michael Desmond, netizens took to social media to express both gratitude (for the MSDN Magazine’s editorials) as well as sadness:
Finally, another important aspect to note is that if you are a MSDN Magazine subscriber having paid the subscription charges in advance, your refunds would be processed and sent over post the release of the November edition of the magazine. With the magazine going away for good, web channels would be the way for all Microsoft-related editorial states Microsoft.
