PUBG revamps its parachute system, changing the way players freefall onto the map

As per PUBG’s plan, one of the first changes will be confined to their freefall animations. This update will have a significant impact on the overall animation. It will also let players glide or dive during freefall. We are expecting the update to be highly exciting given the fact that it will also let users cut their chute before hitting the ground.

It’s been quite a while since we've heard about this new PUBG snow map called Vikendi. Putting an end to the suspense, PUBG announced that Vikendi map is releasing across all the platforms. As for the timeline, PUBG Vikendi snow map goes live for PC gamers on December 20.

However, the newly-announced PUBG Vikendi snow map is already playable on PC test servers. It will soon be available on the mobile version of PUBG, in addition to PS4 and Xbox One.

According to PUBG Vikendi patch notes, folks over at PUBG Corporation have carried out a major overhaul to the game’s parachute system. Here is what PUBG had to say in its official blog post:

“Coming later in the patch is our overhaul to the Parachuting system, which allows you to glide or dive during freefall, improves animations, and also lets you cut your chute before hitting the ground.”

As per PUBG’s plan, one of the first changes will be confined to their freefall animations. This update will have a significant impact on the overall animation. It will also let players glide or dive during freefall. We are expecting the update to be highly exciting given the fact that it will also let users cut their chute before hitting the ground. This way, players can get into the action more quickly.

Apart from freefalling, there are going to some drastic changes and improvements to the actual parachuting mechanism. The update will add enhanced control and responsiveness. What’s even more realistic is that if you collide with any buildings or objects, it will lead to cutting the parachute.

The update is ostensibly leaning more towards the reality because the parachute will no longer disappear instantly after landing.
