Skype Getting Ability To Let You Share Screens During Calls Within Android, iOS Mobile Devices

The ability to share screens within Android/iOS devices during Skype Calls has currently reached Skype Insiders. It should not be too long to reach the wider public.

If Microsoft's Skype has its way, then screen sharing feature on your Google Android and Apple iOS mobile devices would be a reality in the very near future. You also have a role to play here, which is, to register as an Insider via the Skype Insider Program and test out the screen sharing feature to offer comprehensive feedback so that bugs are corrected and allowing this version to come out faster.

Firstly, to register for the Skype Insider Program, click here. Hen, Microsoft has officially announced this beta integration and states that you could easily share your current screen with other people whilst in the midst of a Skype call. In this case, you could be using an Android/iOS device.

This should offer lots to cheer about in situations wherein you have presentations/crucial docs stored within your smartphones (Android/iOS) requiring to be shared during a Skype call. Here, note that this feature is present only within the current Insider build and is yet to go public.

In case you are a Skype Insider, click on , and choose Share Screen; whilst on a Skype call - to share your current screen. This functionality has been present in the Skype desktop app since ages.

Now, it is up to you to test out the Screen SHare functionality within the iOS and Android applications. “Become a Skype Insider and get early access to the latest Skype innovations. Your feedback will help us improve Skype for everyone,” invites (Insiders) Microsoft in an official blog post.

If you are joining the Insider Program for the very first time, then it is worth noting that you need not be a geek to test out beta features and be an Insider. Anybody with a creative bent of mind could choose to associate.
