Vodafone Play mobile website now available to stream TV shows, movies

Vodafone Play mobile website and Vodafone Play Lite mobile website will act as an extension to the Vodafone Play mobile app available for Android and iOS users

One of India's major telecom network operators Vodafone-Idea now provides users with a mobile website of Vodafone Play. It will be an extension to the telco's on-demand video app that goes by the same name. As a result, both Vodafone Play app and mobile website will offer curated content, including movies and TV shows as well as Live TV channels. Similar to other telecom network operators (JioTV and Airtel TV), Vodafone Play app and website will provide users with a content library that includes Bollywood and Hollywood movies, regional and international TV shows, web series, Live TV and more.

With the help of the mobile website of Vodafone Play, the Vodafone-Idea probably aims to offer the same content library through a mobile website. The telecom company seem to have launched the Vodafone Play mobile website intending to allow its subscribers to access curated OTT content through a mobile internet browser. As a result, Vodafone Play users need not download the app to be able to continue watching its content. This way, users can save their phone's storage to some extent. Vodafone Play is available to download only for Android and iOS users. So in case you are a Windows phone user or you have a phone that doesn't support Google Play Store, you can make use of the Vodafone Play mobile website.

The mobile website of Vodafone Play is hosted on vodafoneplay.com. You can also access the lighter version of the site for reduced data consumption - lite.vodafoneplay.in. The Lite version of Vodafone Play mobile website will be helpful where you have limited bandwidth available or your connectivity strength is not so strong. Once you go to the mobile site, you will come across Live TV channels, movies, TV shows, etc. on the home screen itself. At the bottom of the site, you will find curated tabs such as News, Movies, TV, Originals, etc. Interestingly, Vodafone Play mobile website bears a similar interface as that of its mobile app counterpart.

What's more, Vodafone Play mobile website also offers the same content library as its mobile app counterpart. It provides a relatively substantial content library comprising of movies and TV shows in a variety of languages. For example, Vodafone Play users can find content in languages such as English, Hindi, Marathi, Malayalam, Punjabi, etc. Vodafone Play app mobile app and website also hosts more than 300 Live TV channels. It also acts as a content aggregator for movies and TV shows from third-party OTT services like Sony LIV, ZEE5, ALT Balaji, etc. Unlike before, users can recharge for the minimum about of Rs 20 to avoid deactivation of their account. It will be valid for 28 days.
