The game features Red, Chuck, Bomb and the Blues. The goal here is to save the stolen eggs. There are a total of 40 levels with more levels expected to come. Characters look more realistic this time around, all credit goes to Augmented Reality (AR) features. The AR manages to overlay the entire gameplay onto the real-world environment, similar to Pokemon Go.

Commenting at the announcement, Kati Levoranta, CEO of Rovio Entertainment, had this to say:

“We’re delighted to bring the beloved physics-based gameplay of Angry Birds to life through augmented reality. It’s an especially timely moment to bring our avian friends to mobile AR for the first time, as this year marks the tenth anniversary since the release of the first Angry Birds game.”

Meanwhile, Tommy Palm, CEO of Resolution Games, said:

“This game evokes the core of what makes AR gameplay truly AR. With its engaging characters, classic Angry Birds slingshot gameplay and ability to move around the structures, it utilizes the unique elements of Apple’s ARKit and showcases what AR gameplay is capable of, which is pretty amazing when you see it come to life.”

Angry Birds AR: Isle of Pigs uses Apple’s ARKit elements to make it possible to function the game over augmented reality (AR) technology. You can view 3D levels with the help of Apple devices such as an iPhone or iPad. Interestingly enough, you can walk 360-degrees around levels to play your best slingshot.
