It seems like the “WhatsApp from Facebook” label would be visible in a new beta update seeding to WhatsApp beta version. If you are a developer, do check for this tag.
Now, as per multiple reports, the “WhatsApp from Facebook” tagline would be visible under the Settings menu. As of now, when we checked Settings in our WhatsApp variant, the tag was still not reflecting. Hence, developers testing out beta variants (reportedly version number 2.19.221 for Android smartphones) of WhatsApp have a better chance at viewing the new “nomenclature” to the popular instant messaging application.
Facebook, had earlier stated that it would also add its own tag to Instagram (along with that of WhatsApp). The much-expected tag drew anticipation from a plenitude of WhatsApp users who on multiple forums have stated that they prefer the Facebook tagging.
At this point in time, the description of WhatsApp on Google Play contains the “WhatsApp from Facebook” tagging.
“WhatsApp Messenger is a free messaging app available for Android and other smartphones. WhatsApp uses your phone's Internet connection (4G/3G/2G/EDGE or Wi-Fi, as available) to let you message and call friends and family. Switch from SMS to WhatsApp to send and receive messages, calls, photos, videos, documents, and Voice Messages,” states the description. Here, the WhatsApp from Facebook does not find mention; but the title of this description does.
