There are a lot of new changes that are being brought along the way for WhatsApp. From the announcement of a new boss to the arrival of new features — WhatsApp has come a long way. It’s no longer a simple chatting application. It offers a plethora of options to users, making their lives hassle-free.
Facebook announced new features for WhatsApp at the F8, 2018 conference that took place recently. Following given are a list of features that will arrive in the latest iOS version 2.18.51 of the application:
CHAT FILTERS
It can get really annoying to search for keywords within a WhatsApp chat. The officials are now working towards fixing this problem. The application will now come packed with a special Chat Filter that will enable users to search for a particular word using a set of filters. Users are required to tap on ‘Search’ to open the Filter list, which will then allow users to apply filters like unread chats, broadcasts messages and groups.
WATCH VIDEOS
Individuals can now run Facebook and Instagram videos within WhatsApp. In other words, tapping on a video link will not transport you to a new tab altogether. The video will continue to play inside WhatsApp instead of opening in another spot.

RESTRICT GROUPS
This feature will give more power to group admins. As per a recent report, the latest WhatsApp Restrict feature will enable group administrators to send out specific messages. All the other members in the chat can only read but not reply to messages.
REQUEST INFO
Ever since the EU law has into effect, WhatsApp now allows users to download all the data through the use of Request info feature. Users can export or port information to other applications as well. The application also contains your WhatsApp data just like all your profile pictures and groups.
iOS BUSINESS APP
WhatsApp launched a business version of its chatting platform earlier this year. The business version, however, is only available for Android users. It appears that they plan on introducing it for iOS soon.
