Supporting WhatsApp on multiple platforms could now be a reality, reports have been intensely hinting at this development that was rumoured a long time ago. Also, support on Windows PC, platform despite the mobile device not having internet, is now rumoured to come to fruition.

Now, as per a tweet by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp would be updated to include support for Apple iPad operating systems as well, along with that of iPhone and Android devices.

At this point in time, it is worth remembering that the Apple iPad operating system (OS) does not offer support for a standalone WhatsApp version. With this aspect rumoured to be sorted, a lot of hassles with respect to accessing WhatsApp whilst saving time could be practical.

The release date of the above features is not known, even Apple/WhatsApp are yet to issue official communications in this regard; hence, it is worth taking the above reports with a pinch of salt till the official notifications come to the fore. These functionalities could also have been under test, though unconfirmed.

In related news, recently, a section of WhatsApp users was subject to fake messages that indicated that the Facebook-owned messenger would offer 1000 GB free data. This is a proved hoax; in case you have been bothered by these specific messages, you now have the answer.
