Zomato’s latest response to a patron refusing his own order due to a 'non-Hindu' delivery partner being assigned to deliver the food, managed to create a massive buzz on social media. Zomato's response to the user certainly managed to provide some food for thought. The food discovery and delivery app simply Tweeted, "Food doesn't have a religion. It is a religion." While this response went on to win many hearts all over social media, it is not the first instance where Zomato has come out with hard-hitting yet light-hearted  (without sounding offensive) insights – some even presented in rather cryptic manners. This includes the likes of replying to non-original tweets and advising Twitterati (and certain elements) to use compose original tweets. Check out some of such selected “Zomato insights” below:

Firing of plagiarisers

Not too long ago, Zomato sent out a tweet stating, “ Guys, kabhi kabhi khud ke acche tweet bhi soch lene chahiye”. Now, who was Zomato trolling here, is best left to be answered by netizens. Nonetheless, this tweet did get a huge section of Twitterati to come out with hilarious reactions. Check out both Zomato’s tweet as well as the hilarious social media reactions it generated; here.

Offer of the month – water

Though not essentially a fired-up response, Zomato was seen asking its patrons to offer at least one glass of water to delivery partners riding to delivery food in intense heat. Like always, this tweet too went viral and still seemingly remains evergreen like water! Probably, this tweet from Zomato generated the most hilarious amongst reactions from Twitterati. Check these reactions out, here

Wave at a selected delivery partner

In this instance, the food deliver app wanted patrons to wave at a selected delivery partner who reportedly worked hard and saved enough money to buy a KTM 200 motorcycle to do deliveries on. This partner belongs to the state of Haryana. Check out who this Zomato delivery partner is, here.

The Poha and Chai curiosities

Zomato recently wanted its patrons and netizens to decode if “Poha makes sense without bhujia”, and calls for app developers to develop apps to automatically have tea and hot pakodas delivered to doorsteps of patrons in cases of rains. Truly hilarious! Isn't it?

Ghar ka khana jibe

In what could be both a cryptic message; as well as a troll to those neglecting their home-cooked food, Zomato recently recommended patrons to try home-cooked at least occasionally. The “Ghar Ka Khana” tweet also got Deepinder Goyal off guard who admitted that the tweet was “good”. Check out, here
