Huawei launched a slew of smart wearables in India on Tuesday including the premiere Huawei Watch GT and the more affordable Huawei Band 3 Pro and Huawei Band 3E. Prices range from Rs 1,699 for the entry-level Huawei Band 3E, going all the way to Rs 16,990 for the Huawei Watch GT Classic – the Huawei Band 3E, Huawei Band 3 Pro and Huawei Watch GT will be available for buying from Amazon India.

The Huawei Watch GT was launched in October last year alongside the Huawei Mate 20 series of smartphones – its key highlight being its killer battery life. Huawei claims the Watch GT can last for up to 2 weeks on single charge with heart-rate monitoring turned on and 90 minutes exercise (tracking) per week, and it can last for up to a whopping 30 days if you're only receiving messages and calls with heart-rate monitoring switched off. The Watch GT can last for up to 22 hours with continuous exercise tracking, heart-rate monitoring and GPS on, Huawei claims.

"The Huawei Watch GT uses an innovative smart power-saving algorithm that enables it to dynamically switch between performance and efficiency modes, depending on user activity, for maximum battery life. This allows the smart watch to stay powered for up to two weeks for frequent use mode," Huawei says about the Watch GT.

A lot of this efficiency is achieved, in part, through Huawei’s custom Light OS – the Huawei Watch GT does not run Google’s Wear OS (formerly, Android Wear) like its predecessors.

The Huawei Watch GT comes with a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a 454x454 pixel resolution. It supports continuous heart-rate monitoring and is also 5ATM-certified (swim-proof). The optical heart rate sensor on-board the Watch GT uses 6 LEDs and when paired with Huawei's TruSeen 3.0 technology, it promises more accurate heart-rate monitoring, according to the company.

The Huawei Band 3 Pro was also launched alongside the Huawei Watch GT in October last year. It comes with a curved 0.95-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, is 5ATM certified and offers GPS and heart-rate monitoring at a mainstream price – Rs 4,699 to be precise.

Lastly, the Huawei Band 3E is the most affordable of the lot and is primarily intended for running – which is also why it comes with a detachable design that users will be able to attach to their running shoes.
