Samsung has released a new update for the Gear S3 and Gear Sport devices that it claims would enhance the wearables with Galaxy Watch functions. The update claims to bring new ways to watch your wellness, intuitive navigation, an improved communication experience and new partnership possibilities.

The update brings 20 indoor workouts and tracks 39 different types of exercise. Eight workouts are listed by default and users can customise what tasks they want to see. Samsung Gear S3 and Sport can now record a series of activities and the result of your workouts will be available to view at the end of your workout.

The update also simplifies the sleep notifications that users receive after waking up in the morning. Users can tap on “View Detail” for a more detailed breakdown of their sleep time and more. It also supports Sleep Widget that offers detailed sleep data when tapped.

Theater mode can keep the watch on silent mode, turn off the screen, mute all kinds of alerts etc. Goodnight Mode, on the other hand, mutes all alerts except for alarms and system sounds and turns off Watch always on and Wake-up gesture.
