The OnePlus TV is OnePlus’ first stint at making a high-end smart TV. The OnePlus TV is expected to offer premium smart TV experiences like a Sony or a Samsung, but of course, at OnePlus’ hallmark aggressive pricing. OnePlus has been dropping its specs as well as design features of the TV’s remote on social media for a while now – and it has just dropped another teaser. The teaser gives us a first-hand look at the OnePlus TV from the behind. According to the teaser, the back of the OnePlus TV looks all set to get some sort of Kevlar finish seemingly justifying OnePlus’ catch line - no detail is too small.

OnePlus TV design render out

While most TVs now focus on paper-slim profiles, it is only the more expensive TVs that focus on minor design elements – particularly on the back. OnePlus has stressed time and again that it is looking to offer high-end experiences with the OnePlus TV, something that is also reflected in the design of the remote. The design may not be the most original – it looks a lot like the remote you get with the Apple TV – but it surely looks premium, at least in the picture shared by OnePlus. The OnePlus TV remote will come with a minimal design with a brushed metal finish.

While the TV itself looks set to be all-black. That Kevlar finish on the back does stand out from the crowd, while the attached support bar looks elegant – it’s possibly metal with some sort of texture.

OnePlus has confirmed that the 55-inch QLED OnePlus TV will support both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos technologies. There will also be 8 speakers in all for a combined output of 50W to seemingly offer “punchy bass to fill your living room.” OnePlus has also confirmed that the OnePlus TV will be based on Android with some sort of OnePlus skin on top. The emphasis of the whole user interface would be on smooth and fast experience across the board, just like how things are on-board the company’s OxygenOS-based smartphones.

OnePlus may launch the OnePlus TV as soon as on September 26.
