Xiaomi is gearing for yet another product launch in India come November 21. The company has started teasing the launch on social media and while it doesn’t explicitly name the product, it’s highly likely that we’re looking at an affordable fitness band – more affordable than the Mi Band 4. Also, since such a product doesn’t exist yet, it’s highly likely that Xiaomi will launch it in India first.

From the teasers shared by Xiaomi on social media, it’s abundantly clear that the product in question will be the Mi Band 3i. And the Mi Band 3i will focus a great deal on step counting. Which is possibly why Xiaomi is also hosting a ‘Run with Mi’ promotional event in Bengaluru on December 1. Those who finish the run will get themselves a Mi Band 3i for free.

As for the band’s other specs, those remain a mystery for now. So does the band’s design, although another teaser running on Mi.com/in shows a silhouette of the product with a pill-shaped display. Whether or not it’s going to be as colourful as the Mi Band 4 is something only time will tell.
The main highlight of the Mi Band 4 is its color OLED display that’s nearly 40 per cent bigger than the Mi Band 3. The Mi Band 4 comes with a 0.95-inch AMOLED color display with a 120x240 pixel resolution and 2.5D scratch-resistant glass. The color AMOLED display also allows Xiaomi to bring custom watch faces to the Mi Band 4.
Elsewhere, the Mi Band 4 features continuous heart rate monitor and sleep quality index features, and a six-axis accelerometer for enhanced tracking including swimming stroke recognition. There’s also a microphone built-in so users can access voice commands and control IoT devices with the Mi Band 4. Speaking of battery life, the Mi Band 4 boasts of a 20-day battery life on single charge. In India, the Mi Band 4 sells for Rs 2,299.
