Xiaomi sold more than 2.5 Lakh Mi TVs on during online festive sales!

Xiaomi on Thursday said it sold more than 2.5 lakh TVs during Amazon's Great Indian Festival, Flipkart Big Billion Days and Diwali with Mi on Mi.com sales

Xiaomi on Thursday said it sold more than 2.5 lakh TVs during Amazon's Great Indian Festival, Flipkart Big Billion Days and Diwali with Mi on Mi.com online festive sales. Xiaomi also said Mi TV was the highest selling TV on Amazon and Flipkart during the ongoing shopping festival sale. Xiaomi also said the company is leading the Smart TV brand on Flipkart in terms of 'value.' Xiaomi claims it sold over 43 Mi TVs every 60 seconds. Also, on Amazon, two of the top give best-selling Smart TVs were Mi TVs while two of the models Mi TV 4C and Mi TV 4A Pro were number 1 and number 2 respectively on Amazon, Xiaomi said.

Commenting on the results, Eshwar Nilakanta, Category Lead - MiTV, Xiaomi India:

"We hit our first million in India within eight months of origin and two million in another five months. In September this year, we announced a three million milestone where the additional million took us only four months. This is a testament to all the love from our Mi Fans where they helped us reach a monumental 250,000 in mere days."

OnePlus TV would be manufactured in India by 2020, a threat to Xiaomi?

Recently, Xiaomi said it sold more than 1.5 lakh devices during the ongoing sale across Big Billion Days on Flipkart, Great Indian Shopping Festival sale on Amazon and Diwali with Mi. While the majority of the devices sold were smartphones, Xiaomi said it sold products across several other categories including Mi Ecosystem devices, accessories and Mi TVs. Furthermore, Xiaomi said it sold more than 10 devices per second in the first few hours of festive sales.

Smartphone category emerged as the leader during these sales. Amazon said it sold smartphones worth Rs 750 crores within 36 hours of starting the sale. Meanwhile, Flipkart said it witnessed strong demand from Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns for products like mobile phones and large appliances during its ongoing festive sales. Both Amazon and Flipkart, however, remained mum on the total business generated so far in the sale.
