Another country is now 5G-covered and compatible allowing you access to ultra-fast internet accessibility when you use your 5G-enabled smartphone. This country is Italy where Vodafone has now stated that it has made 5 Italian cities 5G-compatible and plans to extend the coverage to 100 cities by 2021.

With Italy now having been covered by 5G, the world no eagerly awaits the deployment of 5G in India where experts have opined about 2021 being an ideal timeline for the launch of 5G services.

5G-compatible smartphones

In Italy, Vodafone under custom contracts would offer three 5G-enabled handsets viz Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, Samsung Galaxy S10, and LG V50 – as per a report (translated), for users to check out 5G connectivity. Along with offering ultra-fast connectivity, 5G would also undoubtedly lead to a manifold increase in data consumption in the near future.

In India, with data consumption rates at a comparatively higher level, 5G could truly revolutionise connectivity; but at what cost is the question worth answering? Would there be environmental hazards, radiation issues with 5G?

As far as data consumption is concerned, video content consumption could also potentially lead the way in India as 4G connectivity has already taken this initiative as of now.

Finally, as far as the 5 Italian 5G-compatible cities are concerned, these are Naples, Rome, Milan, Bologna, and Torino. If you live in these places, do check out 5G connection now.
