After-sales support platform Servify acquires gadget repair startup iService

Mumbai-based personalise after-sales Servify has acquired a Bengaluru-based service and repair startup iService in a cash and stock deal. Founded in 2013, iService repairs smartphones and laptops at customer homes and as well as their own service centres.

Mumbai-based after-sales support platform Servify has acquired a Bengaluru-based service and repair startup iService in a cash and stock deal. Founded in 2013, iService repairs smartphones and laptops at customer homes and as well as own service centres. As part of this acquisition, iService’s core product and tech team will join Servify. 

iService- branded service centers are not a part of this acquisition and they will continue to function independently. Servify provides brands with after-sales customer support ecosystem using their technology platform. Apart from Mumbai, Servify has regional offices located across the US, Canada, Europe and Dubai.

Commenting on this acquisition, here’s what Servify founder Sreevathsa Prabhakar had to say:

"With them (iService) becoming part of Servify, we can now get good insight into the third-party service ecosystem; some of whom operated even better than the brand's own authorised service ecosystem.”

Servify offers Servify offers B2C solutions for customers. They have partnered with several smartphone brands in India like Motorola, OnePlus, Nokia, Xiaomi and Apple to offer various protection plans, right from accidental damage protection, screen protection and insurance to the extended warranty. Servify also offers B2B services like manufacturing management, distribution and retail, customer experience and engagement, post-sale service and end of life management.

iService had raised its seed funding in 2017 led by Blume Ventures who is also an early backer of Servify.

Ankit Chowdhary, Founder of iService, had this to say:

"I believe Sreevathsa and Servify are well-aligned in trying to do the same and we intend to bring all the learnings from the third-party repair space to the brand authorised network, which will enable consumers to get the best in class services."
