OnePlus has launched its next-generation OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro phones with Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 out-of-the-box. OnePlus in fact goes so far as to say that the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro are the first smartphones in the world to run Android 10 at launch.

“OnePlus will be the first smartphone manufacturer to preload Android 10 with Google's apps and services on their latest device. Our 'Never Settle' mindset ensures we are constantly seeking new ways to share the latest technology, giving our community the best 'fast and smooth' experience possible,” Pete Lau, Founder and CEO of OnePlus had said in a statement prior to the OnePlus 7T India launch.

On Thursday, while launching the OnePlus 7T Pro (and OnePlus 7T for the European market), OnePlus also detailed the Android 10 update roadmap for its existing devices. While the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro are already receiving the stable Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 update around the world, the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T will get the update in beta this month – that is in October itself. A stable Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 update will be rolled out for the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T starting from next month – that is starting from November 2019.

OnePlus has confirmed that all OnePlus devices after the OnePlus 5 will be eligible to get the Android 10 update. The OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T will get the Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 update sometime in the second quarter of 2020.

“Friends who purchased OnePlus devices from our partners, including T-Mobile, Sprint and EE. We will work closely with our partners to deliver the best Android 10 software experience for your device,” OnePlus further said in a blog post
