Asus will be slashing the prices of its popular ZenFone 5Z and ZenFone Max M2 phones for a limited period from January 20-January 22 on Flipkart. While the ZenFone Max M2 will be available with Rs 500 discount, the premiere ZenFone 5Z will be available at a whopping Rs 8,000 discount. The price cuts will be applicable from January 20 to January 22 only.

While the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version of the ZenFone 5Z will sell for Rs 24,999, the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version will be available for as low as Rs 28,999 on Flipkart from January 20-January 22. The ZenFone Max M2 will meanwhile start at Rs 9,499 for the base version with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, going all the way to Rs 11,499 for the top-end version with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage during the promotional sales event.

Asus will also be offering discounts on no cost EMI through bank credit and debit card and Bajaj Finance for the period of 3 and 6 months on all ZenFone models during the sales period. The company will also be offering Flipkart’s Complete Mobile Protection Plan for Rs 70 for ZenFone Max Pro M2, ZenFone Max M2 and ZenFone Max M1.

Asus recently slashed the pricing of the ZenFone Max Pro M1 in India by up to Rs 1,000. The price cut applies to all the three variants of the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 and is already effective on Flipkart. This means, the base 3GB RAM and 32GB storage version of the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 now sell for as low as Rs 9,999, while the top-end version with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage (and updated cameras) is available for Rs 13,999. The 4GB RAM and 64GB version of the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 now sells for Rs 11,999.

The price cut on the ZenFone Max Pro M1 isn’t all that surprising now that we have the ZenFone Max Pro M2 vying for buyers’ attention at similar price points. There could be a possibility that Asus would discontinue the ZenFone Max Pro M1 in the days to come, but there is no clarity on this yet.
