The Asus ZenFone Max M1 and ZenFone Lite L1 are getting a permanent Rs 2,000 price cut in India. This means, the Asus ZenFone Max M1 will now sell for as low as Rs 6,999 (down from Rs 8,999), while the Asus ZenFone Lite L1 will now sell for Rs 4,999 (down from Rs 6,999). The new prices are now effective on Flipkart. 

Both the ZenFone Max M1 and ZenFone Lite L1 were launched in October last year at Rs 8,999 and Rs 6,999 respectively.  

The ZenFone Max M1 comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage which is expandable. The ZenFone Max M1 sports a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. It uses a massive 4,000mAh battery. 

As for the ZenFone Lite L1, it comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage which is expandable. The ZenFone Lite L1 sports a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It packs a 3,000mAh battery on the inside.

In other news, Asus has started rolling out the official stable release of Android 9 Pie software for the Zenfone Max Pro M1, ZenFone Max Pro M2 and ZenFone Max M2 phones in India - Asus was supposed to roll out the update sooner. The main USP of the Zenfone Max Pro M1, ZenFone Max Pro M2 and ZenFone Max M2 phones is that they run a stock version of Android unlike the ZenFone Max M1 and ZenFone Lite L1 that have Asus’ ZenUI.
