State-led telco BSNL has now extended its cashback scheme applicable to annual subscribers of its broadband service. Under the scheme, cashback of as much as 25% is applicable to subscribers.

In an official tweet, BSNL stated that the cashback scheme would be valid till 31 March for both existing as well as new subscribers of BSNL broadband as well as landline and BharatFibre services. At this juncture, it is worth noting that the BharatFibre service from the telco is a recent offering.

In case you are an existing subscriber of the above BSNL services, then the next time you connect to the internet through the PC via the broadband interface, you should be presented a custom screen displaying details about the 25% cashback offering. Post this, you could choose to consent to the scheme or withdraw.

Hence if you are a BSNL broadband subscriber, do connect to the web and check out if the above scheme is active at this juncture.

In related updates, BSNL very recently started issuing widely the 4G SIM-cards to subscribers in the Karnataka circle. Now, this development signifies that the rollout of 4G LTE services from the state-led telco is near. The 4G SIM-modules, till the rollout of 4G connections, would support 3G connectivity.

If you are a BSNL prepaid subscriber in Karnataka, then you could check out the nearest customer service centre (CSC) to obtain the new SIM card Now, it is only about time since BSNL widely rolls out 4G mobile service throughout India. The telco tested out the current-gen wireless communication standards in a few regions; a full-fledged rollout now seems imminent and could begin from its Karnataka circle. Once official, the BSNL 4G services could continue the new trend in the Indian telecom sector which is now an offering of a package system as far as a combination of voice and data is concerned. All major telcos are now following this lead.
