BSNL’s Rs 1699 plan which has been aggressively pushed for by the telco is now seemingly coming to an end. At this juncture, it is worth remembering that this plan now comes with increased validity amounting to a total of 455 days. The plan also offers 2GB data per day along with unlimited calls amounting to 250 minutes per day.

Now, if you have thought of availing the Rs 1699 recharge plan, then you should know that this is not a permanent offer, and is all set to end soon. This is because the telco has been sending out repeated information, via text message, about recharging for the plan. Gauging the frequency at which these messages are received, it is imminent that the plan could well be a limited time one.

For the uninitiated, the Rs 1699 plan comes with free calls up to 250 minutes per day. The data offered per day is 2GB, along with 100 free text messages in a day. This is a long validity plan custom-made for those preferring to avoid the hassle of having to recharge monthly even just to keep their prepaid numbers running.

Hence you could check if you would want to avail the Rs 1699 plan, now. Also, the telco is all set to launch full-fledged 4G services in India very soon. It is seemingly in the finishing stages of its 4G test. This is due to the allocation of 4G spectrum by the Indian government, as well as a revival scheme launched that includes monetization of assets to raise fund and sovereign bonds.  A merger of MTNL with BSNL is also on the cards now. Also, the telco has already started handing over 4G SIM cards to both new as well as port-in customers. These are potential indicators of new offerings.
