At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, we are expecting search giant Google’s primary focus to remain on their Assistant and smart Google Home ecosystem, and according to this year’s exhibitor list, Google is set to have a larger 18,000 square feet outdoor booth than last year’s 6,000 square feet exhibit space.

While we don’t know for sure what Google is going to showcase this time around, the pre-show media days begin on January 6. Last year, Google showcased several Assistant-compatible third-party devices.

CNBC reported last month that Google Assistant powers more than 50 million smart home devices worldwide. So we can safely assume that Google would showcase the most numbers of smart home devices even this time around. Report has it that Google would showcase its Pixel line-up of smart home devices, in addition to Nest thermostats, Chromecast streaming devices and more.

Google has invested so much beyond Google search. Google chief Sundar Pichai has over and over said that Google is going full scale on its AI efforts around Google Assistant. But Google still has a long way to go when compared to Amazon's Echo lineup with 73 per cent market share.

Google's Home lineup, meanwhile, has a 24 per cent market share, according to Consumer Intelligence Research Partners.
