In what could be a good news for Vodafone users, the telecom network operator decides to woo its prepaid users ahead of Christmas. According to reports, Vodafone seems to have revised some of its prepaid plans with additional 4G data benefits. Going forward, Vodafone Rs 199 and Vodafone Rs 399 plans will offer additional 100MB 4G data per day. However, the revision does not bring any kind of additional benefits in terms of calling and its FUP limit.
Starting with Vodafone Rs 199 plan, customers opting for the revised plan benefit from 1.5GB daily 4G data. This plan has a validity of 28 days. That amounts for a total of 42GB high-speed data, with a cost per GB of Rs 4.73. Other benefits of this plan include unlimited calling (local, STD and roaming). Previously, the same plan used to offer 1.4GB daily data. This way, Vodafone Rs 199 users end up claiming 100MB additional data at the same cost.
Another Vodafone plan to see the revision is Vodafone Rs 399. The key difference, Vodafone Rs 399 now has a longer 84-day validity as opposed to Vodafone Rs 199’s 28-day validity. Prior to this revision, Vodafone Rs 399 plans was all about offering 1.4GB data per day for 70 days. Vodafone Rs 399 plan costs Rs 3.16 per GB, which makes it more value for money as compared to Rs 199 plan. All other benefits such as calling and SMS remain more or less the same.
It should be worth noting that both Vodafone Rs 199 and Rs 399 plans have calling restrictions of 250 minutes in a day and 1,000 minutes in a week. Upon overstepping the calling limit, users will be charged at 1.2 paise per second or Rs 1 per minute, based on their usage. Similarly, users will be charged at 50 per MB upon hitting the data FUP limit.
