Google Is Currently Shopping For Startups Focused On AI And ML

Google India’s Launchpad Accelerator is now accepting applications from technology enthusiasts, startup owners, and people with ideas to solve problems in India (through AI and ML).

If you think you have a technology-driven solution to India’s plaguing issues, then you could now relatively easily become a startup founder with actual solutions to help solve crisis. Your technology-backed idea could now receive mentoring through Google India’s Launchpad Accelerator which is now accepting applications from technology enthusiasts, startup owners, and people with ideas to solve problems in the country (through futuristic technology viz Artificial Intelligence a.k.a AI, Machine Learning a.k.a ML).

The above represents the Class 2 of Google Launchpad Accelerator that was announced in July 2018 and to which startups working with AI and ML have been receiving mentorship along with “tailor-made support” for a period of 3 months. Google stated that it had 10 startups in the Class 1 phase of its acceleration program.

Now, with Class 2 being open, you could check out the below guidelines to apply for the program; before January 31 2019:

  • Your ideas/startup should be technology-driven; and based out purely in India
  • You should be addressing actual issues plaguing the country
  • You should be offering next-gen technology-driven solutions to issues
  • You should have raised at least seed funding; to back your startup

In case you think your idea/startup qualifies for the above criteria, you could apply by clicking here. Google would offer mentorship and assistance in aspects viz AI, ML, Android, Web, Cloud, UX, Marketing, and Product Strategy. In case you pick up the tricks of the trade relatively easily, then your venture would also receive $20,000 worth Google Credits potentially ranging up till $100,000. In case you are selected, you would be placed in Bangalore for a bootcamp mentorship module, post which there would be sessions in April and May for your startups. “We are excited to share that we are now accepting applications for class 2 of Launchpad Accelerator India,” stated Google in an official blog post.
