Google Pixel 3a XL India price leaked ahead of May 7 launch

Google just can’t catch a break. Its Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL have been leaking left, right and center. Only recently, the unannounced Pixel 3a XL was photographed in a Best Buy store in the US – in Springfield, Ohio to be precise. And now, the India price of the Pixel 3a XL has leaked online. The 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of the Pixel 3a XL is said to cost Rs 44,999 in India - even though you're advised to take this piece of information with a pinch of salt, the leak does give a rough ball park figure of how Google may be looking to price its upcoming mid-rangers. 

The purported India pricing of the Pixel 3a XL isn’t surprising. Globally, the Pixel 3a XL is rumored to cost $479 (roughly Rs 33,300), and generally speaking, the Pixel has always been more expensive to buy in India. This is because all the Pixels sold in India are imported, rather than assembled here – which adds to the overall cost. That said, many would have hoped for a more aggressive pricing since the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL seem to have been designed from ground up for markets like India. 

There’s no information about the Pixel 3a India pricing but globally it will reportedly cost roughly $399 (roughly Rs 27,750). 

The fresh Pixel 3a XL leak also re-affirms a few hardware specs that we’ve already been hearing about in the wild. The Pixel 3a XL is said to come with a 6-inch FHD+ display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor under the hood paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. On to the optics, the Pixel 3a XL is said to come with a 12.2-inch rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Furthermore, the Pixel 3a XL is said to come with USB Type-C and support for 18W fast charging out-of-the-box. 

Rumored specs of the smaller Pixel 3a include a 5.6-inch display, a 12.2MP rear and an 8MP front camera, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and a 3,000mAh battery.
