Google will launch the Pixel 4 (and Pixel 4 XL) on October 15, if a new leak by serial tipster Evan Blass is anything to go by. Blass has shared a render of the alleged Pixel 4 on Twitter that clearly shows a dateline of October 15, raising speculation about the Pixel 4’s launch date. The render also confirms design elements of the phone in question, once again – the Pixel 4 will come with slim bezels on three sides and a giant forehead, likely housing the slew of new sensors that Google is looking to incorporate into it.

Although Google has tried to wade through rumor mills by revealing some interesting details about its upcoming Pixel, there has been no dearth of leaks coming from all corners of the Internet. The tipped launch date is also a leak Google would have liked to keep a secret – but clearly, that’s not the case much to its dismay.

Promo leaked

A leaked promo video recently gave a good glimpse of what could be in store vis-a-vis user experience and cameras in the Pixel 4. Basis of the leak, it seems the Pixel 4 is all set to get even more deeper integration with the Google Assistant, with the promo video showing off how it would let users control finer things within the Google Photos app – using just the voice.

Soli Chip

We already know that the Pixel 4 will be able to recognize hand gestures and detect when a user is nearby with the help of a dedicated Soli chip – which is Google’s in-house motion sensing tech that uses a miniaturized radar capable of sensing small motions around the device. Google has confirmed that Soli will allow users “to skip songs, snooze alarms, and silence phone calls, just by waving your hand” but there’s a high possibility that this would be limited to select markets. The promo video demoed this functionality, stressing how users will be able to interact with the Pixel 4 “without even touching it.”

Elsewhere, the Pixel 4 will come with dual cameras and improved night sight (we already know that), but it is also rumored to come with 8x zoom (hybrid) and the ability to shoot photos of the night sky. The leaked promo video also highlighted how the Pixel 4 will be able to capture the night sky.
