Honor is prepping to launch an all-new Honor 20-series of devices on May 21 at a global keynote event in London. Honor will officially bring the Honor 20-series to India on June 11. Honor is now sending save your date invites to the media for a launch event scheduled for June 11 where it will formally unveil the Honor 20-series phones for the Indian market. The Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro are expected, although Honor may also bring the Honor 20 Lite to India – which has already been launched in China.

Honor has been hyping the Honor 20-series cameras, suggesting the series will focus a great deal on photography – especially low light photography.

Both the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro, to that effect, are rumored to come with quad rear cameras. The Pro variant is of course expected to kick things up a notch, but the vanilla Honor 20 will be also not very far behind if rumor mills are anything to go by.

The Honor 20 will reportedly come with a 6.26-inch 1080p+ IPS LCD display with a punch-hole similar to the one we’ve seen in the Honor View 20. The phone is said to be powered by Huawei’s top-of-the-line Kirin 980 processor paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Battery capacity is said to be 3,750mAh and the phone will also reportedly support Super Charge (50 per cent charge in 30 minutes).

Speaking of cameras, the Honor 20 will reportedly come with four rear cameras – a 48MP camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide camera with 117-degree field-of-view, and two 2MP sensors, one for macros and another for depth sensing. On the front, the Honor 20 is said to come with a 32MP camera.

The Honor View 20 was the first phone to spark the megapixel debate. It was also the first phone in India with a punch-hole design. More importantly, the Honor View 20 was very aggressively priced – it was Honor’s answer to the OnePlus 6T. Honor will be looking to continue the momentum with the Honor 20-series, and hopefully offer a viable alternative to the recently launched OnePlus 7.
