Huawei subsidiary Honor has launched the Honor 20i mid-range phone in China – it is expected to launch it for the global markets on May 21. The Honor 20i has a gradient design, waterdrop-style notch, triple rear cameras and 32MP selfie camera. Price starts at CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs 16,600) for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, going all the way to CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs 22,800) for the top-end version with 6GB RAM and 256GB storage.

The Honor 20i comes with Honor’s signature gradient glass design – the phone will be available in red, blue and black colour options. The Honor 20i has a waterdrop-style notch on the front and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.

Speaking of specs, the Honor 20i comes with a 6.21-inch 1080p+ display and a Kirin 710 processor under the hood. It comes with a triple camera setup on the rear consisting of one 24MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor and a 2MP sensor for portrait photography. On the front, the Honor 20i comes with a 32MP camera.

The dual-SIM Honor 20i runs Android 9 Pie-based EMUI 9 and packs a 3,400mAh battery with micro-USB charging.

The Honor 20i will be available in four versions - 4GB/128GB, 6GB/64GB, 6GB.128GB and 6GB/256GB.

Honor has confirmed that it will launch the Honor 20 series for global markets at a keynote event in London on May 21 – the Honor 20i is expected to be one of the devices, although chances are Honor may repurpose it as the Honor 20 Lite.

Rumour has it that Honor is also working on a triple rear camera phone called the Honor 20 Pro – there could be a vanilla Honor 20 as well.

The Honor 20 Pro will reportedly come with a 6.1-inch OLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The processor inside is said to be Huawei’s top-tier Kirin 980 paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. Cameras are said to be the main highlight of the Honor 20 Pro – it is said to come with a triple rear camera setup with a 40MP main camera, alongside a 20MP ultra-wide and 8MP telephoto camera.
