Honor 8C with Snapdragon 632 chip goes on sale in India for the first time today

Honor 8C goes on sale in India for the first time starting today (Monday, December 10). To recall, Huawei sub-brand Honor announced its Honor 8C smartphone in India late last month. One of the key highlights of Honor 8C is that it features a minimum bezels screen with 19:9 aspect ratio.

As for the launch offers, customers purchasing Honor 8C get benefits and cashback worth up to Rs 4,450 and Rs 2,200 respectively from Jio, in addition to 100GB 4G data. ICICI credit and debit card customers get 5 per cent instant discount. Furthermore, customers also get Rs 200 cashback from Paytm, MobiKwik SuperCash up to Rs 2,000 and Cleartrip coupons worth Rs 2,250.

Specs-wise, Honor 8C runs Android Oreo with EMIUI 8.2 on top. It sports a 6.26-inch 720p display featuring 86.6 per cent screen-to-body ratio. Powering the handset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chip accompanied by 4GB RAM and Adreno 506 GPU for graphics. Its storage is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.

As far as camera specs are concerned, Honor 8C houses 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with an LED flash. Up front is an 8MP secondary camera for selfies and video calls. Honor 8C comes with an AI-powered camera to leverage the hardware to its potential. Honor claims it can recognise over 500 scenes. It’s also backed by HDR and AR lens features. The handset has a feature that detects the object and shows similar products at the time of shopping.

Design-wise, it weighs in at 167 g and measures 7.9 mm in thickness. It packs a 4,000mAh battery under the hood that supports a 5V/2A charging brick.
