Huawei off-shoot Honor will launch its punch hole selfie cam-toting Honor View 20 in India on January 29. The Honor View 20 will be exclusively available for buying from online retail website Amazon India. The Honor View 20 was recently launched in China as the Honor V20 at a starting price of around Rs 30,000 and it is expected that Honor will launch it in India at around a similar price.

The Honor View 20 India launch is notably scheduled just a week after Honor will globally launch the product for global markets at an event in Paris on January 22.

The main highlight of the Honor View 20 is its 6.4-inch 1080p+ all-view display made possible through a punch-hole selfie camera setup. The goal here is to offer maximum screen real-estate by punching a hole in the display and incorporating an in-screen selfie camera. This selfie camera has a resolution of 25MP in the case of the Honor View 20.

The Honor View 20, in addition, sports a dual rear camera setup on the rear consisting of what Honor claims to be an “industry-first 48MP primary rear camera with Sony IMX586 sensor” and a secondary TOF camera for 3D depth mapping.

In terms of core hardware, the Honor View 20 packs a Kirin 980 processor with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. The dual-SIM phone runs Android Pie-based EMUI 9, and comes with a massive 4,000mAh battery.

In terms of design, the Honor View 20 comes with Huawei and Honor’s signature gradient glass finish with distinct V-shaped patterns on the back.

Honor has launched the Honor View 20 in China at a starting price of CNY 2,999 (which roughly translates to Rs 30,622) for the base 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant going all the way to CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs 35,728) for the top-end variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Honor View 20, going by history, should be a little more affordable in India in comparison to China.
