Huawei could be gearing up to unveil a new, red colour variant of the Mate 20 Pro in China. Report has it that Huawei could be preparing to launch the Mate 20 Pro red colour variant on February 5, which is the Chinese New Year. Currently, Huawei Mate 20 Pro is available in multiple colour variants like Black, Midnight Blue, Emerald Green and Twilight.
According to a leaked image, Huawei Mate 20 Pro red colour variant flaunts a gradient design on the rear. Everything else including the specs is expected to remain pretty much the same. The handset is priced at Rs 69,990 for 6GB RAM and 128GB expandable storage.
As far as design is concerned, the handset provides users with minimum bezels around the display. Above the display comes a notch, making enough room for a front-facing camera and earpiece. On the front, it sports 3,120 x 1,440 pixels resolution stretched across a 6.39-inch OLED display, resulting in 538 ppi pixel density.
Similar to OnePlus 6T and Oppo R17 Pro, the Mate 20 Pro features an in-display fingerprint reader. Powering the handset is the company’s latest HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor. Globally, the handset is available in a couple of memory and storage configurations: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage.
In terms of photography, Huawei Mate 20 Pro flaunts a primary, triple-camera unit on the back. It consists of a 40MP wide-angle lens alongside a 20MP ultra wide-angle lens and 8MP telephoto lens for portrait shots. Up front, there is a 24MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The handset runs Android Pie software with Huawei’s EMUI 9 on top.
