Huawei India will start rolling out EMUI 9.0 skin based on Android Pie operating system (OS) next week onwards. The over-the-air (OTA) update will be delivered to Huawei P20 Pro and Huawei Nova 3 users in India. EMUI 9.0 brings a new user interface (UI) and full-screen gestures. Huawei and Honor phones run EMUI custom skin out of the box.

EMUI supports up to 22 Indian languages, in addition to a customised Indian calendar. It also bundles apps like Paytm. EMUI 9.0's performance is claimed to be 12.9 per cent faster. Huawei also claims quicker app launch. Other features include gesture-based navigation, password vault, digital balance dashboard and more.
