According to reports, LG is all set to take the wraps off their 5G phone at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain. The handset is tipped to feature a bigger battery and better cooling mechanism. LG is hosting their media event on February 24 ahead of the actual tradeshow.

The Mobile World Congress 2019 officially starts on February 25. The 4-day event ends on February 28. MWC 2019 event is expected to garner a lot of attention from attendees.

LG's purported announcement to launch a 5G phone comes just a day after a news agency reported LG would announce the G7 ThinQ successor (presumably LG G8 ThinQ) at the company's February 24 MWC 2019 keynote.

LG's upcoming flagship smartphone is expected to go on sale sometime in March. We have come across multiple reports quoting LG as saying that they will showcase the 5G smartphone to attendees of the MWC and "beef up efforts to target the global premium market."

LG's upcoming 5G-enabled device is said to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, which is expected to deliver a concurrent execution of high-resolution games and resource-intensive tasks without any latency.

As per reports, LG has their vapour chamber technology in place for better heat dissipation and LG would pack in a 4,000 mAh battery under the hood. In related news, LG V40 ThinQ recently launched in the Indian market with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It's up for grabs on Amazon for Rs 49,990 starting today.
