LG announces its first Android One phone LG G7 One under Google's stock Android program

South Korean electronics giant LG, ahead of the IFA 2018, has announced its entry into Google's stock Android program by launching the G7 One and the G7 Fit.

G7 One 

The G7 One which could be categorised under the high-end segment of  Google's program will possess a Snapdragon 835 processor. Several components on the new phone will be derived from its parent model, G7 ThinQ.

The phone will sport a 6.1-inch 1440p display with 'super bright' colour scheme as well as a Boombox speaker as seen on the ThinQ. Similar to all the recent flagships by the company, the G7 One will also have the headphone jack with quad DAC. 

Unlike a number of phones in the stock Android program, LG's new phone, will not carry a dual rear camera. Optically, the phone will sport just one 16MP camera with an f/1.6 aperture while the front camera will be an 8MP camera with an f/1.9 aperture.

The phone will be available in one option of 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage along with 3,000mAh battery. However, with a microSD card, the memory can be extended up to 2TB.

Connectivity options on the G7 One include the 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C. 

G7 Fit

The G7 Fit, on the other hand, is a notch down than the G7 One. The G7 Fit will carry a comparatively lower price tag and will have a Snapdragon 821 processor. 

It will measure the same as the G7 One in screen size but with a QHD+ with 19.5:9 Full Vision display. The rear 16MP camera will have an f/2.2 aperture with 76-degree wide-angle lens and LED flash. Meanwhile, the front will have an 8Mp camera 80-degree wide-angle lens and f/1.9 aperture. 

Connectivity options on the LG G7 Fit include a 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C. Similar to that of the G7 One, the Fit will also have a 3,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.
