LG has launched a new camera-centric mid-ranger called the LG Q60 in India at a price of Rs 13,490. This is for the variant with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage. The LG Q60 will be available for buying from October 1 from across online and offline sales channels. The LG Q60 comes days after LG hit the refresh button in India with the affordable W series phones, the W10, W30 and W30 Pro.

LG Q60 specs and features

Speaking of specs, the LG Q60 comes with a 6.26-inch 19:9 HD+ FullVision Display with a waterdrop-style notch. The phone is powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio P22 processor paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage which is expandable. The dual SIM phone runs Android 9 Pie software and is backed by a 3,500mAh battery. The key highlight seems to be the phone’s MIL-STD 810G certification which makes it resistant to harsh environmental scenarios.

On to the cameras, the LG Q60 comes with three rear cameras – a 16MP main camera, a 5MP wide-angle camera and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait photography. On the front, the LG Q60 comes with a 13MP camera.

“At LG mobiles our vision is to introduce smart phones based on consumer insights. Globally we have been launching AI enabled smart phones; Q60 is a perfect amalgamation of smart technology & great camera features. I am confident that consumers will appreciate this offering from house of LG mobiles,” Advait Vaidya, Business Head, LG Mobile Division said in a statement.

LG has also simultaneously launched the LG G8s ThinQ flagship phone in India at a price of Rs 36,990 for the variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The main USP of the LG G8s ThinQ is its 3D Time-of-Flight front camera (LG calls it the Z camera) that lets you control the G8s with the palm of your hand. This includes two user cases – Hand ID and Air Motion gestures. The ToF system also helps in fast and more secure face unlock and achieving greater depth of field effect in portrait selfies.
