The headphone jack is on the verge of extinction. Almost every major smartphone brand thinks that it is unnecessary. So, every time a major brand comes up and defies this new trend, it comes as a sigh of relief for all those who still fancy the good old jack. Samsung is one such brand, and looks like, it isn’t giving up on it this year as well. A promotional banner of Samsung’s more premier Galaxy S10+ has been spotted online and because it is coming from serial tipster Evan Blass, we have reason to believe that the phone will indeed keep the headphone jack.

The promo banner shows off a Galaxy S10+ seated back facing down at an angle so you can see its lower end. Even though the front of the said Galaxy S10+ is new with an edge-to-edge curved screen and dual punch-hole selfie cams, its bottom is very familiar. It looks just like the Galaxy S9, with a mono speaker out, a mic, a USB Type-C port and right next to it, lies the 3.5mm headphone jack.

The promo banner also seems to follow a general undertone that Samsung is likely adopting this year. Previously, a similar banner, gave us the first glimpse into Samsung’s rumored Galaxy Buds, truly wireless earbuds that the company will reportedly launch alongside the Galaxy S10. There will be more products, if rumour mills are anything to go by, but the biggest highlight would be the foldable Galaxy F. Samsung has already confirmed that its foldable phone will be showcased at Galaxy Unpacked 2019 on February 20 but whether or not the company will go ahead and also launch the product announcing price and availability specifics is something only time will tell.

Samsung’s Galaxy S10 trio of phones have been leaking left, right and center. Samsung is said to be working on a slew of attractive colours for the Galaxy S10 phones, including a Canary Yellow option that is said to be exclusive to the Galaxy S10E. The Galaxy S10 will also reportedly come in red, in addition to black and blue.

Samsung is said to be working on a crazy high-end variant of the Galaxy S10+ as well, and it seems like it would market it as a limited-edition product. The highest-end variant of the Galaxy S10+ or the limited-edition Galaxy S10+ will reportedly be made of ceramic, a first for Samsung, with a smooth matte finish and it probably won’t be as reflective and glossy as the all-glass Galaxy S10+.
