Micromax Infinity N11, N12 launched with notch display, Helio P22 & 4,000mAh battery, price starts at Rs 8,999

Homegrown brand Micromax has launched what it calls its first affordable smartphone series with notch display in India. The series in question is called the Infinity N, and Micromax has launched two new smartphones under it, the Infinity N11 and the Infinity N12. While the Infinity N11 has been launched at Rs 8,999, the Infinity N12 will cost buyers Rs 9,999.  

Micromax has announced that both the Infinity N11 and the Infinity N12 will be available for buying from physical retail stores pan India from December 26. 

Both the Infinity N11 and the Infinity N12 have almost the same hardware specs and design and differ only in RAM and selfie camera departments. While the Infinity N12 comes with 3GB RAM and a 16MP front camera, the Infinity N11 packs 2GB RAM and has an 8MP front camera. 

The Infinity N11 and the Infinity N12 both have a 6.2-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with an iPhone X-style notch that imparts it an all-round aspect ratio of 18.9:9. Both the phones are powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 processor and come with 32GB internal storage which is further expandable by up to 128GB via a dedicated micro-SD card slot. The dual-SIM phones run Android 8.1 Oreo software and will be upgraded to Android 9 Pie within 45 days of launch, according to Micromax. 

On the optics front, both the Infinity N11 and the Infinity N12 sport a dual rear camera setup consisting of one 13MP sensor and another 5MP sensor for depth sensing. Micromax claims cameras on the Infinity N11 and the Infinity N12 are backed by artificial intelligence so they will be able to recognize scenes and adjust photographic parameters accordingly to entail in better photos.  

Biometric authentication features like fingerprint scanner and face unlock, that have now become standard in the industry, come pre-loaded on both of Micromax’s new phones.  

The Infinity N11 and the Infinity N12 both have 4,000mAh batteries inside and are claimed to offer up to 30 hours of talk-time on single charge.

The Infinity N11 has been launched in India in just the one 2GB RAM and 32GB storage variant and will sell for Rs 8,999. The Infinity N12 will be available in 3GB RAM and 32GB storage configuration for Rs 9,999. Both the phones will be available for buying from offline stores starting from December 26. 

Micromax has tied up with Reliance Jio to offer up to Rs 2,200 cashback and up to 50GB free 4G data should you buy the phones with a Jio plan costing an upwards of Rs 198.
