Moto E5 plus to be launched in India. Prices, details, features here

The all new Motorola E5 plus is packed and ready to be dispatched to India. Motorola on its official Twitter page made an announcement that declared the launch date as sometime in July.

The phone was launched in Brazil this April and carried a price tag of EUR 169 that roughly converts to Rs 13,500. However, if the companies choose a lower price putting it under Rs 10,000 the line of rivals might change.

Its predecessor Moto E5 currently carries a price tag of almost Rs 11,000.

Externally, the phone sports a 6-inch  HD HD+ (720x1440 pixels) Max Vision IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio along with a reflective back which will differ from the G6. Internally, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage.

The memory capacity of the phone is, however, expandable with a micro SD card up to 256GB. Optics on the phone consists of a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0, LED, PDAF, and laser autofocus. Whereas in the front, the smartphone gets an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and selfie light.

The 5000 mAh battery on the phone will support a 15W TurboPower charging that the company claims can pump charge worth 6 hours of usage in just 15 minutes.

Connectivity on the phone includes 4G LTE (Cat4), UMTS/HSPA+, GSM/EDGE. 2G: GSM band 2/3/5/8, 3G: WCDMA band 1/2/5/8,
4G: FDD LTE band 1/3/5/8 TDD LTE band 38/40/41(2535–2655MHz).

The design on the new E5 Plus has a reflective wave pattern and an arched back. Other than that, the fingerprint scanner on the phone is the Motorola logo on the back of the phone.

The E5 lineup consists of the E5, the E5 plus and the E5 play. The E5 Play which is restricted to the US markets will not be seen in the Indian market in the near future. The phone will be an Amazon exclusive and according to leading media agencies will be launched on July 10.
