Lenovo-owned Motorola Mobility launched the Motorola One Macro phone in India on Wednesday at a price of Rs 9,999. Like the Moto One Vision and the Moto One Action, the Moto One Macro is also a camera-focused phone, its main USP being its 2MP macro lens that can focus from as close as 2cm – for seemingly clear macro shots.

Motorola One Macro specs and features

Rest of the phone is a standard budget affair. The Motorola One Macro has a 6.2-inch 720p+ LCD display with a waterdrop-style notch - no punch-hole cut-out on this one like the One Vision and one Macro. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which is also expandable. There’s also a main 13MP camera and a 2MP depth camera, in addition to that 2MP macro camera. The cameras are assisted by laser autofocus for theoretically faster focusing. On the front, the Motorola One Macro has an 8MP camera.

The dual-SIM phone runs stock Android Pie software with Moto enhancements like Moto Display. The Motorola One Macro further packs a 4,000mAh battery with USB Type-C charging – charging is maxed out at 10W though.

In terms of design, the Motorola One Macro has an all-plastic body with a conventional fingerprint scanner on the back - the phone will be available in single Space Blue colourway. The phone comes with a mono speaker out at the bottom. There’s also a 3.5mm audio jack on-board the Motorola One Macro

The Motorola One Macro has been launched in India at a price of Rs 9,999 – this is for the variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The Motorola One Macro will be available for buying in India from October 12 from online retail website Flipkart.

Motorola has globally launched the Moto One Macro in India which means India is the first market to get it. The phone is expected to be launched globally on October 24 and should eventually land in markets like Europe, Latin America and the US.
