The Samsung Galaxy Sport smartwatch-like wearable is now said to have also obtained certification by NCC at Taiwan, after having earlier cleared US FCC and South Korean NRRA certifications. Now, rumours are rife about the smartwatch being potentially launched during the Samsung Unpacked event that takes is slated for February 20.
Now, a DroidShout report mentions a smartwatch variant bearing model number SM-R500 that is said to have a codename called “Pulse” having passed the NCC certification in Taiwan. This variant is also rumoured is also hugely rumoured to, be launched as the Samsung Galaxy Sport wearable.
The smartwatch repeatedly features 4GB storage internally and comes with Bluetooth and NFC connectivity options. There is also speculated to be the Bixby offerings, and the smartwatch is said to be driven by the Tizen platform.
As far as Samsung’s Unpacked event on February 20 is concerned, it is hugely expected by a wide community of technology enthusiasts that the next-gen Galaxy S10 (multiple variants) would be unveiled. Now, there are also reports that one of these purported Galaxy S10 edition could be premium featuring triple rear cameras and 4100 mAH battery.
In related Samsung updates, the purported Galaxy S10 is now reportedly said to have gone into wider production. As per a report in The Investor, these units are 4G compatible; the 5G-compatible handsets would go into mass production a tad later in 2019. This means that there is a realistic chance that the former category (4G variants) could be showcased during the February 20 Samsung Unpacked event.
Also, very recently, prices of multiple Samsung Galaxy handsets were reduced online. These smartphones included the likes of Galaxy A7. This could be potential indicators of a new high-end phone launch being imminent.
