Days after launching the budget Nokia 4.2, HMD Global has launched the entry-level Nokia 3.2 in India. The Nokia 3.2 has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 8,990 for the base variant with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, going all the way to Rs 10,790 for the top-end variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The Nokia 3.2 will be available for buying in India from across physical retail stores and online via Nokia website from May 23.
The Nokia 3.2 was announced at MWC 2019 in February alongside the Nokia 4.2 - HMD has already launched the Nokia 4.2 in India.
The Nokia 3.2 comes with a dewdrop-style notch on the front and a dedicated Google Assistant button with some clever tricks up its sleeve – a single press activates the Google Assistant, a double press gives you its visual snapshot view, while a press and hold lets you converse with it much like a smart speaker.
The Nokia 3.2 also comes with what HMD is calling a breathing notification light that is mounted on top of the power button.
In terms of core hardware, the Nokia 3.2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor paired with up to 3GB RAM and up to 32GB storage which is also expandable. Being an Android One phone means the Nokia 3.2 runs a stock version of Android 9 Pie software.
Elsewhere, the Nokia 3.2 has a plastic back with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It comes with a large 6.26-inch HD+ screen and a 4,000mAh battery.
At its price, the Nokia 3.2 will compete with phones like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and Realme 3 - both of which offer better specs. The Nokia 3.2 will of course be banking on its vanilla Android experience to make a selling.
In other news, HMD Global launched the Nokia 4.2 in India recently at a price of Rs 10,990 (3GB/32GB). The Nokia 4.2 offers a glass back and dual rear cameras (13MP+2MP) and an 8MP front camera. It comes with a 5.71-inch HD+ screen and a 3,000mAh battery.
