Nokia 5.1 Plus 4GB, 6GB RAM variants launched in India starting at Rs 14,499

The 4GB and 6GB RAM variants of the Nokia 5.1 Plus come with 64GB on-board storage and will join the existing 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant

HMD Global, on Tuesday, launched the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants of the Nokia 5.1 Plus phone in India. The 4GB and 6GB RAM variants of the Nokia 5.1 Plus come with 64GB on-board storage and will join the existing 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. The new variants will be available for buying online from February 7 with offline availability scheduled to start from February 12. Both the variants will be available in Gloss Black, Gloss White, and Gloss Midnight Blue colour options. While the 4GB RAM variant will cost Rs 14,499, the 6GB RAM variant will sell for Rs 16,499. 

There’s no other difference between the two variants apart from RAM and storage. Which means, both the variants of the Nokia 5.1 Plus will also come with a 5.86-inch 720p+ display. They will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 processor with up to 6GB RAM and up to 64GB storage. The phone runs Android Oreo and is now upgradable to Android Pie and because it is an Android One device, the Nokia 5.1 Plus runs a stock, unadulterated version of Google's OS.

The dual-SIM Nokia 5.1 Plus supports 4G LTE and expandable storage via a micro-SD card slot. The phone packs a 3.060mAh battery. It comes with a dual rear camera setup consisting of one 13MP sensor and another 5MP sensor for depth sensing aka portrait photography. On the front, the Nokia 5.1 Plus comes with an 8MP camera. 

The 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant of the Nokia 5.1 Plus, to recall, now costs Rs 10,599 in India. 

HMD also recently launched the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of its mid-tier Nokia 8.1 phone in India at a price of Rs 26,999. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the Nokia 8.1 will join the existing 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant and will be available for buying from February 6 from Amazon India, Nokia online store as well as physical retail stores. Again, there’s no other difference between the two variants apart from RAM and storage.
