Nokia 7.2 with 48MP triple camera launched at IFA 2019 coming t India

The Nokia 7.2 is coming soon to India. HMD Global has started teasing a soon-to-launch Nokia phone on social media and although the company doesn’t explicitly name the product, a teaser video that it has shared shows off a green-colored phone with three rear cameras arranged inside a circular bump. There’s also the all-familiar ZEISS branding. The phone is undoubtedly the Nokia 7.2. 

The Nokia 7.2 was launched alongside the Nokia 6.2 at IFA 2019 – it is yet to be seen if the Nokia 6.2 also makes its way to India.    

Speaking of the Nokia 7.2, the phone comes with an all-glass body (Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front as well as on the back) with triple cameras embedded inside a Nokia Lumia-like circular module. The Nokia 7.2 has been launched in some funky color options including Cyan Green, Charcoal and Ice. 

Elsewhere, the Nokia 7.2 comes with a 6.3-inch 1080p+ display with a waterdrop-style notch – the screen’s hallmark PureView with HDR10 support and is capable of upscaling standard content to HDR. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 64GB storage which is also expandable. The Nokia 7.2 further runs Android 9 Pie software and is claimed to be “Android 10 ready with Android One. The phone is backed by a 3,500mAh battery with standard 10W charging – no fast charging. 

On to the cameras, the Nokia 7.2 has three cameras on the rear – a 48MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle camera with 118-degree field-of-view and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, the Nokia 7.2 comes with a 20MP camera. 

The Nokia 7.2 has been launched globally at a starting price of Euros 299 (roughly Rs 24,000) for the variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, going all the way to Euros 349 (roughly Rs 28,000) for the variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage.
