Ever since Asus introduced its ROG gaming smartphone in India last month, more companies are expected to embark their presence in India’s gaming smartphones space. Chinese smartphone maker Nubia is all set to announce the Red Magic, a smartphone aimed at mobile gamers.
To recall, Nubia Red Magic initially unveiled in April with multiple memory configurations. In the global markets, it has two variants to offer: 6GB RAM with 64GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage options. In India, however, Nubia Red Magic is expected to compete with the likes of OnePlus 6T.
Folks over at Nubia posted a teaser on its social media channels, confirming the arrival of Nubia Red Magic. Nubia will launch its gaming phone in India on December 20. This is what the company had to say:
"Enough is enough, it's time for a new species to take over. It's time for a complete annihilation.”
Nubia India has geared up to bring the Red Magic in India later this week. However, Nubia is also expected to expand its presence in India’s smartphone market, courtesy of Nubia Red Magic Mars with 10GB of RAM.
The report has it that Nubia Red Magic may be priced well under Rs 30,000 mark. Nubia Red Magic price is set for 2,499 yuan (roughly Rs. 25,800) for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage.
Specs-wise, Nubia Red Magic runs stock Android 8.1 Oreo. It sports a 5.99-inch 1080p display. Inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with Adreno 540 GPU for graphics. The handset comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Nubia Red Magic houses a single 24MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and 4K video recording support at 30 frames per second (fps). Up front is an 8MP selfie camera. It packs a 3,800mAh battery under the hood.
