The OnePlus 7 Pro is coming – possibly alongside a 5G variant, and not to mention a vanilla OnePlus 7 is also on the way. OnePlus has been on a teaser spree lately, especially with regards to the OnePlus 7 Pro which isn’t surprising – the OnePlus 7 Pro is slated to be its first true flagship phone. One of the things that OnePlus is confirming is that the OnePlus 7 Pro will come with three rear cameras. The vanilla OnePlus 7 may not get this setup though.
OnePlus cameras are in line to get their next major update. The last big update came with the OnePlus 6 – the OnePlus 6T was all about internal tuning rather than a spec bump. All this changes with the OnePlus 7 Pro and even though OnePlus isn’t revealing more information, OnePlus fans will be hoping for a major leap forward in terms of camera quality. This is also needed for OnePlus to seemingly justify the OnePlus 7 Pro’s flagship footing and the accompanying high asking price. A main + wide-angle + telephoto setup will be welcome.
The OnePlus 7 Pro, in addition, will come with a class-leading AMOLED display. “DisplayMate's in-depth Lab Tests of the OnePlus 7 Pro OLED Display have just been completed, earning our Highest A+ Display Rating,” notes analysis firm DisplayMate. This essentially means that the OnePlus 7 Pro display is (going to be) even better than the Samsung Galaxy S10+' - the OnePlus 7 Pro will have the best smartphone display ever.
OnePlus founder and CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that the OnePlus 7 Pro will be fast and smooth, seemingly hinting at the phone’s much-rumoured curved Quad-HD+ resolution Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate – both of which will be a first for OnePlus.
The processor inside the OnePlus 7 (including the OnePlus 7 Pro/OnePlus 7 Pro 5G) will most likely be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. Also said to be on the cards are 30W Warp charge, dual (stereo) speakers and USB 3.1 for data-syncing. The OnePlus 7 Pro will also reportedly come with a pop-up selfie camera like the Vivo V15 Pro.
