Oppo’s upcoming Reno smartphone has been subject of rumour mills for some time now. A new set of leaks now suggest the Reno will come with a motorized pop-up selfie camera, but it will have a unique design – sort of like a Swiss army knife. Case renders and a hands-on video of the alleged Oppo Reno doing the rounds of the internet show off a unique pop-up front camera that’s a little difficult to put in words – as you can see from the photo shared in this piece.

The renders and the hands-on video seem to suggest the Reno will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and curiously, a dual camera system on the rear. The Reno was being speculated to be the first Oppo phone to use the company’s new 10x lossless zoom camera tech. But the tech requires three cameras - a 48MP high-resolution main camera, a 120-degree ultra-wide camera and a periscopic telephoto camera. There seems to be no periscope camera in the new leaks. So, it's yet to be seen if the Reno does come with 10x zoom camera, or not.

Regardless, the unique pop-up mechanism is sure to be one of the key highlights of the Reno – if the leaks are anything to go by. It is quite unlike anything we have seen in the past.

The Reno will have multiple versions (with different processors) with the top-end model powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. Oppo has confirmed this variant of the phone will pack liquid cooling.

The Reno will reportedly have a 5G variant, a Lamborghini Edition with 12 GB RAM, and a low-end model with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710.

All of this is of course speculation for now but Oppo will launch the Reno in China on April 10, so we will know soon enough.
