The Oppo Reno is coming on April 10 and while it isn’t clear if it would be powered by a Snapdragon 855 or a Snapdragon 710, we now have some idea about its possible design. Press renders of the alleged Oppo Reno have surfaced on China’s social media website Weibo giving a first-hand look of the phone in question from the behind – as also the four colour variants that it may be available in. The Oppo Reno will apparently be available in black, green, purple and pink.

The renders seem to suggest the Reno will boast of a familiar back – a light-bending Aurora (possibly) finish reminiscent to the one we saw recently in the Oppo F11 Pro. On the back, there are three cameras – and the setup looks like the one Oppo debuted at MWC 2019 with 10x lossless zoom tech. The Reno could be the first Oppo phone to use the company’s new camera tech.

The setup uses three cameras to achieve the 10x lossless zoom figure – a 48MP high-resolution main camera, a 120-degree ultra-wide camera and a periscopic telephoto camera. Together, the trio can cover a focal range of 16mm to 160mm – for a maximum of 10x zoom. Both the main camera and the telephoto camera will be optically stabilized, with the latter offering up to 73 per cent better stabilization accuracy over Oppo’s 5X zoom tech – that's up to 0.001445 degrees in actual numbers.

Now, Oppo has already confirmed that it will launch a flagship phone (with Snapdragon 855) with its new 10x zoom camera tech in April. There have been contradictory reports about the Reno’s core hardware though – some say it will come with Snapdragon 855, some say it will come with Snapdragon 710. Whether the Reno is the same flagship, or whether Oppo is also gearing another high-end phone for the purpose is something only time will tell.

Although Oppo isn’t revealing the name of this flagship phone yet, speculation is rife that it could be called the Find Z. As for the Reno, it is turning out to be quite a flagship in its own right.
