Days after its unusual Swiss army knife pop-up selfie cam was spotted online, official-looking renders of Oppo’s upcoming Reno phone have surfaced courtesy a JD.com listing. The online retail website has listed the Oppo Reno, showing off the phone from both the front and the back, leaving nothing to the imagination – the website has also quoted a price although it seems more like a placeholder text. Regardless, the renders seemingly confirm long-standing rumours, but at the same time, raise a question.

The renders seem to suggest that the Oppo Reno will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and curiously, a dual camera system on the rear. The Reno was being speculated to be the first Oppo phone to use the company’s new 10x lossless zoom camera tech. But the tech requires three cameras - a 48MP high-resolution main camera, a 120-degree ultra-wide camera and a periscopic telephoto camera. There seems to be no periscope camera in the renders. So, it's yet to be seen if the Reno does come with 10x zoom camera, or not.

That said, the listing confirms that the Reno will have a 48MP primary rear camera – there's also NFC and VOOC 3.0 fast charging.

The Reno will come with a near edge-to-edge display and although the renders in the listing do not show the pop-up cam – a recent leak suggested that the Reno will come with a motorized pop-up selfie camera with a unique design.

The Reno, basis of the renders, will be available in at least four colours - purple, pink, green, and black.

Rumour has it that the Oppo Reno will have multiple versions (with different processors) with the top-end model being powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. Oppo has previously confirmed this variant of the phone will pack liquid cooling. The Reno will reportedly also have a 5G variant, a Lamborghini Edition with 12 GB RAM, and a low-end model with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710.

As unique-looking as the Reno may seem like, its unique selfie camera will indeed be its most striking aspect. But the Reno was also supposed to be the first Oppo phone to pack 10X lossless zoom camera tech, so it will be interesting to see if it actually does ship with the feature or if Oppo would put it into a different flagship phone.
