A host of popular Xiaomi Redmi smartphones, which now compete with the Realme range of phones such as the Realme C1, Realme 2, Realme U1, have now had their prices slashed officially at the official Mi portal. These Redmi handsets are the Redmi 6, Redmi 6 Pro, and the Redmi Note 6 Pro that have varying price ranges falling into the budget as well as the mid-range segments.

Now, the Redmi 6 is available for buying, at Rs 7999 (representing a Rs 1000 discount), the Redmi 6 Pro at Rs 8999 (represents a Rs 3000 discount), and the Redmi Note 6 Pro at Rs 13999 (Rs 2000 discount). USP of these developments, apart from making these devices relatively easier to own, could potentially be an indicator about an upcoming mid-range (even a flagship) Xiaomi phone.

At this juncture, the Xiaomi Redmi 7 is rumoured to be launched in the near future; multiple key technical specifications of this handset have also surfaced via rumour mills; these indicate that the device would offer a 5.8-inch display, 4000 mAh battery, and Snapdragon 710 SoC. These details, though unofficial, seemingly offer a sneak-peak as these indicate at a potentially mid-range nature of the Redmi 7 smartphone.

In other Xiaomi-related updates, the company launched Men’s sports shoes called the Mi Men’s Sports Shoes 2. These shoes could also be checked out at an official Xiaomi crowdfunding platform. Loyalists could even express support to this “shoe project” of Xiaomi. On their part, the Mi Men’s Shoes are claimed to incorporate a 5-in-1 Uni-Moulding technology and a fishbone design structure. These would ship from March 15 2019.

“ Shock-absorbent, anti-slip and durable, you can take on any adventure that comes your way once you slip into these shoes. Enjoy a crowdfunding discount of Rs 500 for a limited time period,” states Xiaomi, officially.
