Oppo spinoff brand Realme will launch the Realme 3 Pro in India on April 22. The company is now sending out invites to the media for a keynote event scheduled for Aprill 22 in the National Capital, where it will launch the Realme 3 Pro. And, as is you can tell from its social media handle, the Realme 3 Pro will be Realme’s answer to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro.

Realme launched the Realme 3 in India in March – during the same event, it had confirmed that it will launch a more powerful variant of the Realme 3, aka the Realme 3 Pro in April. No further details were shared although Realme did say that the Realme 3 Pro will be a fast phone with speed being one of its key highlights.

In the presentation slide shown off by Realme at its Realme 3 press event, the company had sort of recapped all the specs of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro – primarily its 48MP rear camera with Sony IMX586 sensor. Even as it stayed mum about the Realme 3 Pro. Leading many to speculate if the Realme 3 Pro will also come with a 48MP main camera (even though Realme India CEO, Madhav Sheth has already denied that).

Rumour has it that the Realme 3 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor paired with 4GB/32GB, 4GB/64GB and 6GB/64GB configurations. The phone will reportedly come with a Sony IMX519 sensor – which is the same imaging sensor found in the OnePlus 6T. The Realme 3 Pro is further said to support Oppo’s VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology. The Snapdragon 710 and VOOC 3.0 alone make the purported Realme 3 Pro better the Redmi Note 7 Pro on paper which is a lot to look forward to – so it would be interesting to see how things unfold on April 22 when Realme takes the wraps off its new phone.

In other news, the Realme 2 Pro has received a permanent price cut of Rs 1,000, in time of Realme 3 Pro India launch. The Realme 2 Pro, to recall, was launched in September last year in 4GB RAM/64GB storage, 6GB RAM/64GB storage and 8GB RAM/128GB storage variants at Rs 13,990, Rs 15,990 and Rs 17,990 respectively. All the variants of the phone had received a price cut of Rs 1,000 in February – and now with a fresh Rs 1,000 price drop, the Realme 2 Pro will sell for Rs 11,990, 13,990 and Rs 15,990 respectively.
